After years of planning and guidance by Dharma Light Monastery Founding Grand Master Ven.Hui Hai, the Sugata Dharma Vihara has finally been approved by the authorities for construction, and the preparatory construction project will start soon.
Sugata Dharma Vihara is named after Tathagata's implying that the Buddha came to the world to enlightenment all sentient beings. It is also hoped that the disciples of the Buddha will continue to uphold His teachings.
When Venerable Master was planning the Sugata Dharma Vihara , he said "A temple should not only fulfill the function of a Buddhist temple, but also shoulder the responsibility of educating believers so that all living beings can obtain true refuge."
The construction of the Sugata Dharma Vihara will integrate traditional and modern design concepts. Shouldering diversification and multi-functionality, and spreading the Bodhi seeds to all directions through education, culture, and philanthropy.
